third-party insurance backing means you protect yourself and
your customer. The builder’s liability is limited to the first
two years of the warranty, while the customer still benefits
from the full 10 years of coverage.
Liberty Mutual – one of the largest property and casualty insurance
companies in the United States – is licensed and regulated by the
State Insurance Commission. It is not a risk retention group.
Risk Retention Groups are often formed because they are unable to
obtain insurance backing from an admitted insurance carrier. With
QBW, you are liable only for the first two years of the warranty.
Liberty Mutual’s insurance backing ensures that the liability for
the remaining years is never transferred back to the builder.
